Open enrollment: October 15, 2026 to December 7, 2026 for coverage on January 1, 2027. Independent site, not affiliated with the government or any insurer; no agent will call you.
For 2027, insurers filed 5,561 Medicare Advantage plan segments with CMS, of which 3,589 are open to anyone with Parts A and B and 1,972 are special needs plans; 2,109 of the 3,193 open plans that include drug coverage charge no premium of their own. That national count hides what matters: you can only join a plan filed for your county, and counties differ enormously. Los Angeles County has 70 open plans with caps from $199 to $9,850; Miami-Dade has 41; Alaska has none at all. Whatever plan you pick, the Part B premium of $202.90 a month in 2026 (more above $109,000 of income for a single filer) is still due. The annual change period runs from October 15 to December 7, 2026, for coverage starting January 1, 2027. The list above comes straight from the CMS landscape file of September 2026 and the star ratings of October 8, 2026, with no ZIP code, phone number or agent in between.
Why the county decides everything
A Medicare Advantage plan is approved for a service area drawn county by county, and its premium, its out-of-pocket cap and even its existence can change at a county line. In Los Angeles County, 70 plans are open to everyone and 55 of those with drug coverage cost $0 a month; the most generous cap there is $199, while the highest reaches $9,850. Across New York State the median cap is $9,750, against $4,200 in Florida. Alaska has 0 Advantage plans: people there choose between 9 stand-alone drug plans with Original Medicare. National averages, which most articles quote, describe nobody's actual choice.
That is why this site starts from the county. The national figures still matter for one thing, the out-of-pocket limit: the highest in-network cap filed for 2027 is $9,850, carried by 383 open plans, and the median is $6,550. A $0 premium paired with a cap near the top means a bad year can cost thousands; the whole-year calculator puts both in the same number.

Before you choose
What the premium column includes, and what it does not
The premium shown for each plan is the "monthly consolidated premium" of the CMS file: the Part C premium plus the Part D premium of the plan, after the rebates the plan applies. It never includes the Part B premium, which you keep paying to Medicare: $202.90 a month in 2026, projected at $209.50 for 2027 by the Trustees until CMS publishes the final amount in November. If your income on the tax return of two years earlier was above the IRMAA thresholds, an adjustment is added to both Part B and the drug premium: the IRMAA calculator shows yours.
Reading the out-of-pocket limit
The MOOP column is the most you pay in a calendar year for in-network Part A and Part B services, copays and coinsurance included. It does not count premiums, drugs (they have their own $2,400 cap in 2027) or care outside the network of an HMO. For PPO plans the file gives the in-network figure; a higher combined limit applies out of network. Original Medicare alone has no cap at all, which is why people who stay in it usually add a Medigap policy: the Medigap page compares the two routes.
Stars: what a 4.5 means
CMS rates each contract from 1 to 5 stars on up to 43 measures: preventive care, chronic disease management, member complaints, drug safety and customer service. The 2027 ratings, published on October 8, 2026, put the enrollment-weighted average of drug-covering contracts at 3.99 (4.01 a year earlier), with 15 contracts at five stars. A five-star plan in your county also opens a special enrollment period from December 8 to November 30: see star ratings 2027.
Plans that stop: how to check yours
The county pages list every 2026 plan ID that is not filed again for the county in 2027. The national count of plans open to everyone went from 3,790 in 2026 to 3,589 in 2027 in the two CMS files. If your plan is on that list, the Annual Notice of Change from your insurer says whether you are moved to another plan; if the plan really leaves, you get a special enrollment period and a guaranteed right to some Medigap policies. The plans leaving page explains the deadlines.
Why there is no phone number on this site
Most commercial sites that rank for these searches are paid by insurers or brokers for each enrollment, which is why they ask for a ZIP code and a phone number before showing anything. This site is paid by no one in that chain. It cannot enroll you either: when you have chosen, you join on the plan's own site, by calling the plan, or on Medicare.gov. Free counseling without sales interest exists in every state through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).
Questions people ask
How do I see every Medicare Advantage plan in my county without giving my phone number?
Choose your state and county in the finder at the top of this page. All 3,589 plans open to everyone in 2027 come from the CMS landscape file of September 2026 and are listed with premium, drug deductible, out-of-pocket limit and 2027 star rating. Nothing you choose is sent anywhere, and no agent calls you.
When can I change my Medicare Advantage plan for 2027?
From October 15 to December 7, 2026, for a plan that starts on January 1, 2027. If you are already in an Advantage plan, the Medicare Advantage open enrollment period from January 1 to March 31, 2027 allows one more switch, or a return to Original Medicare with a drug plan (42 CFR 422.62).
Does a $0 premium plan mean I pay nothing for Medicare?
No. You still pay the Part B premium, $202.90 a month in 2026, plus any income-related adjustment, and the plan's copays up to its out-of-pocket limit, which can reach $9,850 in network in 2027. Drugs have a separate $2,400 yearly cap.
Why does my county have fewer plans in 2027 than in 2026?
Insurers redraw their service areas every year. Nationally, plans open to everyone went from 3,790 in the 2026 CMS file to 3,589 in the 2027 file. Each county page lists the 2026 plan IDs not filed again there; your insurer's Annual Notice of Change says which plan you are moved to, if any.
Is this site run by Medicare or an insurance company?
Neither. It is an independent site published by Radif Partners, not affiliated with CMS, the Social Security Administration or any insurer, and it sells no insurance. The plan data is public domain material from CMS; the site only puts it in readable tables and calculators, with each source linked and dated.
Are the star ratings on this site the ones Medicare.gov shows for 2027?
Yes: they are the 2027 Star Ratings published by CMS on October 8, 2026, which Medicare.gov uses during the 2027 open enrollment. Ratings belong to a contract, so plans of the same contract share one rating. The average for drug-covering contracts is 3.99 stars, weighted by enrollment.
What if no Medicare Advantage plan is offered where I live?
Then Original Medicare is the route, with a stand-alone Part D plan and, if you want a cap on medical costs, a Medigap policy. Alaska has no Advantage plan filed for 2027 and 9 stand-alone drug plans; a few rural counties elsewhere are in the same case. Each state page lists its drug plans.

Plan figures are read from public CMS and SSA files; costs are estimates only and do not replace a plan’s Evidence of Coverage, which can change its network, drug list or copays. This is not financial or professional advice, and we receive nothing from any plan.
