Independent site, not a government site

Plans65 is a private, independent publication. It is not operated, endorsed or paid for by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Social Security Administration or any other government body, and it does not use their names, seals or logos in its name, address or design (42 U.S.C. §1320b-10). "Medicare" is used only to describe the public program the pages are about.

Information, not insurance advice

The site reproduces facts from public CMS and SSA files and computes estimates from them. It is not an insurance agency, broker or third-party marketing organization, does not sell, solicit or enroll anyone in any plan, and endorses no plan. A plan's Evidence of Coverage, its provider directory and its drug list decide what it covers. Projected amounts are labeled and may differ from the final figures.

Liability

Figures are read from official files and the calculators are tested before each release, but files are revised and errors cannot be ruled out. The publisher is not liable for a decision based on the site alone. Report errors through the contact page.

Intellectual property

Texts, design and code belong to the publisher; short quotations with a link are welcome. CMS and SSA data are public domain works of the federal government. Plan and company names belong to their owners and are cited as published by CMS.

Personal data and cookies

What you type in the calculators stays in your browser. The site sets Google Analytics audience measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_VGVG6CNRWX, 13 months at most), with no advertising. Details, legal basis and how to object: privacy policy and cookies page.
